About Us

The Russian Philosophical Society "Dialectics and Culture" was organized in 2002 as a natural continuation of the annual scientific conference "Ilyenkov Readings".

The Society's task is to promote the mastery of the classical content of philosophical ideas, the development of the ability and culture of thinking. To this end, the Society initiates and conducts various seminars, round tables, symposia, and conferences related to the discussion of classical philosophical problems. To one degree or another, the content of these discussions goes back to the work of Evald Vasilyevich Ilyenkov.

Participation in the Society's work is not bound by any strict regulations. The charter and programmatic ideas of the Society represent a free association of freely thinking people. Therefore, "membership" in the Society is only a matter of self-consciousness, and objective participation depends on subjective readiness and objective ability to participate in the discussion of key philosophical problems rooted in the classical content of philosophy, and more broadly, of all historical culture.
